SOCIAL SECURITY

•   www.ssa.gov Complete the request form for a Personal Benefits Statement. You'll need your social security number and your mother's maiden name. You'll also have to estimate your date of retirement and your earnings at that time. They'll send you a statement via snail mail in a couple of weeks. Repeat this every couple of years and keep it as a part of your financial records.

ANYTHING ELSE?

If you'd rather have your wisdom teeth pulled than research investments, try these sites.

uproar.com offers games. You can play bingo on a slow day, but don't expect this to be as profitable as the stock market.

rootsweb.com is a genealogy search site. You may want to try this if you think you have some rich relatives out there somewhere. Good luck!
