Ryder is Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager at New Perspectives.

 

He fell in love with investing when he was eight years old. One hot summer day he learned that his sister owned a share of Coca-Cola - far more interesting than merely having a cold glass bottle of the beverage. He has been reading annual reports and proxy statements ever since. He still makes a spreadsheet for everything but spends most of his time listening and thinking deeply about how to fulfill clients’ goals, dreams and values.

 

A Jackson, MS, native, Ryder has a BS in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol in England. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute. He also holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement.

 

Ryder and Nancy co-host MPB's “Money Talks” radio program each Tuesday morning where they answer caller questions about finance and investing and Ryder gets the chance to educate the public about his favorite topic, money. He is a Board Member of the CFA Society of Mississippi and the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science Foundation.

Despite going overseas for university, Ryder is back in the neighborhood where he grew up, living with his wife Blair and their two precious children, Ryder and Cavett.
